Foster Children's Rights Coalition
Foster Children’s Rights Coalition is a Coalition of social workers, mental health providers, foster parents, foster alumni, and advocates working for the rights of children in foster care. Children in foster care have rights equal to those of the adults with whom their cases intertwine. A system that puts the rights of adults above the rights of children is outdated and immoral. Protecting the rights of children is essential to the overall well-being of every society. Children have a right to quality medical care, including mental health care, and children have a right to grow up in a stable, nurturing environment. It is our mission is to uphold the inherent rights of children in foster care by building awareness and sharing knowledge through training, advocacy, education, and community outreach initiatives. We believe that together we can create meaningful change.
