Rise Up Georgia
Rise Up Georgia is a grassroots community-based organization that supports progressive political change in Georgia. We are the new majority-people of color, women, the LGBTQ community, working people, immigrants, and young people fighting for change in Georgia. Our mission is to build the power of working class communities throughout Georgia to advance racial and economic justice by taking bold action on the streets and at the ballot box. Rise Up is currently working on saving our public schools and ensuring that mental illness is not a crime. We believe that Georgia is stronger when all of its residents have the basis to create strong communities, invest in the future, and uphold dignity in public, at home, and in the workplace.
