It is our mission to rehome neglected, unwanted, and abused dogs and cats in and around rural New Mexico. We recognize the need for spay & neuter; in order to decrease the homeless animal population we run a successful no- low spay and neuter program for areas of New Mexico that are under-served by such programs. All Desert Paws NM rescues are placed in temporary foster homes while they await adoption; this helps them ease into their forever homes, never enduring the stress of shelter life.
